We need YOUR help

We saw the Lawyer today and in order to get the ball rolling there are a list of things we need to do in order to get home office approval to get Civil Partnered.

Heres where you come in. We need your help. We need everyone that knows us and supports us to write us a statement to say to the home office on headed paper that you know us and hope we get permission to get civil Partnered. Help us if you will in our time of need. The statement can not say we hope he can stay, but but just that we are fighting to get Home Office Approval to get Married. It does seem a little unfair that we have to have the home office's approval but hey ho. Law is Law. Help us if you will. The statement just needs to say how long you have known us and that you hope that we get Permission to enter into Civil Partnership. This is our time of need, please help us friends.Gill honey, I know you did one but the lawyer we need a new one, everyone will count, believe us. The words have to be individual, and if you want to check it by our lawyer first, please do, his happy to receive them by email at barry@gryklaw.com

Thank you with much love Neil & Dusan

Lucky for some 14 and a Day off, plus the Hamptons Pictures

After 13 mornings of getting up at 630AM in a row, I finally got a day off today. Even Saturday on my usual weekend off I had to go to an extra class to make sure I am ready for when I graduate my training and can be based out in Division as soon as I finish my training. Thankfully we were done within a couple of hours.

Once I got home we joint the local gym, which is so much closer than my old one and Dusan can walk there during the day if I am at work. Plus we get free parking for the Station which is a bonus.

Then we turned into a straight couple for the afternoon (vomits), just kidding, but spent half the day at B&Q trying to decide on a colour for the bathroom. It was B&Q, the Tile Store, then Sainsbury's and by then I was about to drop. Finally my every ounce of energy was zapped and we came home and watched some TV to relax.

Having missed Pancake Day earlier in the week, Dusan cooked up the batter and smothered them in Nuttella and then wondered why an hour later I didnt fancy a Steak dinner. I wonder ?

We got sent some of our pics from the Boys Weekend in the Hamptons today. See attached.

Today my Mother and Father popped in to see the new Sofa. Well at least thats what they said, but its always nice to see them.

We have been lazy things all day, just vegging out to which we feel a little guilty but if you cant totally veg on your first day off in 2 weeks, when can you relax? I was planning on a lie in for half the day today, but it never works out as you plan. I guess I was in the habit of waking at 630AM. Then today, my only day off in 14 I get woken in the early morning by.... a neighbor banging and decorating. Sigh, did I do something wrong in another life? We finally got up at 1100AM with a headache from the banging. With a hammer I mean! ;-)

How about a joke?

Snow White gets a Disposable Camera from the 7 dwarfs for Christmas and takes loads of festive pictures. On her next trip into town she takes them in to be developed and is told they will be ready in a few days. Snow white leaves and returns the following weekend. She hands over her ticket to the man who looks through the box and says "I'm sorry madam but they are not in yet, try in a few days". Disappointed she left returning in a weeks time. Once more she hands over her ticket, the man looks and says "I'm so sorry madam but they are not in, try in a few days". The week later she returns once more, once more hands over her ticket, once more the man looks through the box and once more she is told "I'm sorry madam, they are not in yet". With this, snow white is distraught and bursts into tears. "Now now", says the man behind the counter "Dont worry Snow White One Day your Prints will come"

Well I thought it was funny anyway.

There ends an exhausting and tiring fortnight and at last I got to spend some time at home, catch up on some sleep and finally get a sleep in. Cant wait till I finish training and can have a whole weekend to myself. Goodnight.

Day 12

Twelve days of getting up at 630AM, one to go so I guess it really is unlucky 13. I can only imagine how late I will want to sleep in on Sunday.

My commutte seems to be getting worse too. 90 Minutes yesterday to just get to Chelmsford. No wonder I am so tired.

Yesterday 2 people from HR announced they were leaving. My desk is in HR. Training has never been in HR. HR is so quiet, subdued and whispering voices where as traininers are outgoing, bubbly and loud. I never understood the mix. My friend Claire announced she was leaving a few weeks ago and now Nigel & Jan are leaving. The office will be empty. Of course, today was officially my last day but I now have several days over the next couple of weeks. I felt bad as I hardly get to see Dusan. I get in from work and have about 2 hours before I have to be in bed and am up early again the following morning. I had promised him next week off so we could spend some time together. Its, alas, not to be. I will make it up to him soon. The extra money will help go in the Hot Tub fund. We have decided we deffinitely want a Hot Tub. While we have a garden we may as well have something that makes us use it. Nigel looks to be selling his but watch this space. How fab it would be to be sipping Champagne in the Tub on a warm spring evening. It would make us feel like "Lucky Bitches".

Fat V Dust

After my blog post the other day asking if I looked Fat, my dear friend Christine from Norway said "Try a little Dust". Well they do say Dust is low in Fat. I think my problem is 2 fold, firstly I have not been to the gym since December 15th when I started this new job. There simply isnt the time. Secondly I have stopped on the Hot Rox fat burners. I usually take 2 in the AM and 2 before Lunch and they keep me slim and enable me to eat whatever I like. Now I have stopped no wonder I have pilled on the weight.

Work has been extended by 2 more weeks. Do I have the energy to keep going another 2 weeks? Next week I have some different clients I need to maintain too. A change is as good as a rest dont they say?

Today is Day 11 in a row. Heavens knows I need a sleep in. Roll on Sunday. Sunday I will finally get a lie in and cant wait.

Going Live

Going Live. No not the television show but I used to love Sarah Green on Childrens Televison, we took the software Live yesterday at work. After ten weeks of me project managing, drawing up training materials, reference guides, excercises, outlines, plans, we finally switched off the old siebel software and onto Microsoft CRM. It went quite painless really which shows we educated everyone well enough that they couuld do it without any problem.

Today is day 9 of getting up early. Its so hard to get up at the moment. But at least the days at work are going fast when I get there.

Ive not had lunch with Gill in ages, maybe today we can do lunch, that would brighten my day.

Have to run or ill be late. Be Safe. Love VC .

Busy Boy VC

I cant remember the last time I have worked so hard an so many days in a row. The big project I have been Project Managing for work comes to its big launch on Monday and is our 'go live' week. I have been working hard Monday to Friday to get all of the training sorted, training materials written and printe and all the quick reference guides and everything ready. So it all comes to head on Monday.

Meanwhile, at weekends I have been busy at College getting ready for my new Uniformed Career and trying to find time inbetween to fit in my friends, do my accounts and spend some quality time with my beautiful boy, Dusan.

I have to confess, I cant wait till the project is finally concluded and I can at last enjoy a lie in and go back to having something of a social life again too.

Last weekend was really lovely down in LittleHampton with all of the boys but for some strange reason I was exhausted even with the two lie ins on Saturday and Sunday. If you are tired on a Monday the only way is down, especially when you know you have to work on Saturday and Sunday too. Hey Ho. One more week and it will be easing up and I can get my social life back.

Last night Dusan wanted me to trim his hair. I think we made a mistake on the Clipper Numbers and a Number One was a little too short. He does look hot with a Mowawk though and he did agree to letting me do it. It will, after all, grow back within a week or so. I think he looks sexy but we did decide Mum and Dad might think he looks a little like a skin head.

Roll on next weekend when I will finally have more time free and get back to being a Lucky Bitch once more.

Weekend in the Hamptons

Okay it wasn’t the Hamtons that Manhattons go to for their weekend breaks but it was our annual boys weekend away in Littlehampton not far from Worthing.

I managed to save up some overtime and get off work a couple of hours early and avoided the madness of the M25 in rush hour and actually made our way to arrive at Littlehampton by 5:05PM. Joffrey had said Jim and Phil were scheduled to be the first arriving and would be at the hostel for 745. So with time on our hands we found a beautiful little bistro called the Lemon Tree where we had a superb 4 course meal with live entertainment at an astonishing £73 for us both including wine and Port. The restaurant was a few feet from the entrance to the hostel and by just after 8 we were inside being reunited with friends old and new.

This year the hostel was a four Star venue. We had our own ensuite rooms with power shower. Bare in mind that this is a youth hostel and not a hotel. It was charming and cosy.

As more of the boys started to arrive Hudd and Chris had made Lasagne for dinner and despite the meal we had just eaten it would have been rude to ignore a meal time with the boys. After dinner we all go talking about relationships and how Chris and Joffrey had civil partnered last year, Mark and Adrian are working on theirs and Dusan and I are just awaiting the correct paperwork the debate went into the big differences in society. Most of our straight friends are choosing Not to Marry because they don’t want to be forced by society while all of us gay boys and girls are now getting married in hoards because we actually can.

An evening of chat, wine and food ensued before we were the first to retire to bed at 1215.

Saturday we went for a drive to Brighton and came back for some games and some more of the same in good company. I spoke today with Mark who agreed, its an amazing get away that costs so little. Something that we all end up looking forward to from the moment the invites start to come through by Email. The whole weekend with food, alcohol and the hire all to our self of the Littlehampton hostel, it cost us £82 each.

A huge Thank You to Joffrey and Chris Denning for inviting us and hope to see you all again soon boys. Was a fabulous weekend away in the Hamptons.

Perfect Evenings

Sometimes a perfect evening is a night out with friends, another it is a night all alone but tonight was really the perfect night, a night in with Dusan.

The minute I got in from the office I was met with my usual Beaming smile that makes realise why I go to work every day. Then the smell of his first home cooked meal. I really do mean home cooked. He had spent the afternoon reading my cook books and had cooked a delicious Lasagne.

Then we had a candle lit bath together, watched the "Gay Episode" of Hollyoaks (we all knew JP was gay weeks ago) and finally watched the latest and greatest of my fave TV show at the moment "Ugly Betty".

With that done and having finished the second bottle of Pinot Grigio (no wonder I have put on a 1lb) we got deeply stuck into 2 episodes of Sex in the City (are they gay men in womens body's or what?) and finally snuggled on the sofa before a snuggle in bed.

When I got in from work my friend James had Emailed me. A conversation we had recently had had stuck in his mind and heart. He was touched when I said that "No distance in time or space could lessen the love of two sealed at the heart" and then felt jealous when I said I came home to his beaming smile and decorated house and home cooked meal and finally laughed when Dusan once said to me "Once Slapper, always Slapper". His a very inteligent man he said.

I dont know about that? After all, his with me ;-) But I do know that I would do Anything for him, including give me life. Never before have I loved another so much. Thus this concludes in making me, yet again, a Lucky Bictch. Be Lucky yourself. Love Neil & Dusan.

Lates & Earlies

Just under 2 weeks and we "Go Live" at work. This is meaning later hours for me as we do evening classes for the call centre people. I got home at close to 9PM last night and god bless Dusan, Dinner was ready and being dished up and he had painted two more walls of the lounge. The carpet had been professionally cleaned. Its like since he moved in it has been transformed from just a house to a home. Once more I was met with that beaming smile that just says a thousand words in one.

So along with the new look house I decided it was time for a new look blog and updated the Template after a year of the old one.

More features to be added soon.

Had an Email from my friend James Sky. He said I am the man that has it all, a good job and a loving partner at home. I guess I really am a Lucky Bitch! :-)

That beam of Sunshine

Somehow the world is now a better place. It doesnt matter how much of a bad day I have had or how many hours I have had to work, I come home, walk through the door and am met by Dusan's smile. Its the sort of look you get from an excited puppy pleased to see his owner after a day away before the dog licks you all over. His face just says it all, how happy he really is to have me home and we cuddle and kiss for the first time since saying goodbye in the morning.

That smile has the entire recipe of love within it and is my reward for my hard days labours.

The two of us have finally found something to argue over (albeit in jest). Who is the wife. I keep calling him the wife and heaven knows so many would give their right arm to be a "desperate house wife". Richard from Bristol's online persona is Desperate Housewife as thats what his desperate to be. A Housewife.

This week I have a couple of late nights at work and am running classes until nearly 8PM. So I think Dusan will venture out to London to see his friend Olivier from the Ivy. How tired will I be having to work that late, home at 9PM and back at the office by 9AM! Give me strength. Thank goodness for my Fat Burners that give me my morning boost.

We are in the process of gathering evidence for the home office as we now need approval to wed. If you have not yet done so and could possibly help, we need references from all our friends just as a statement to the home office that we have been together for four years since we met in 2003. Despite the distance forced upon us when his visa expired and then him working on two cruise contracts in the Caribbean, nothing can lesson the love of two people sealed at the heart. (to quote my dear friend Pamela Anderson in Salt Lake City). Your testomonies and statements will help make our Civil Partnership that much easier to get approved. I feel like my life is turning into the movie green card even though our love is real. Its hard to know you have to proove something as special as love to a Home Office officer. Please email me your testonies.

Many thanks and have a fabulous day. Love Neil & Dusan.

Better than a Hot Water Bottle

The weather has gone mad once more. No wonder that yesterday they were saying that Global Warming was here. If you have not seen it yet, watch the Al Gore documentary on Global Warming called "An inconvenient Truth". In that they show you emmission levels over the past 100,000 years and trends as to when an Ice Age is due. Apparently Ice Ages happen after we have warming that melts the caps and causes a stop in the Artic Flow of warm water. No warm water will mean no warm weather and inconveniently they say that the inevitable global warming is here and now. Of course, this is always so hard to see when we have freezing cold nights and thankfully I have Dusan as the best kind of Hot Water Bottle you could ever ask for. A very HOT bottle of love. We spent the night hugging and keeping warming under the goose down duvet not knowing that it was below zero outside. It did feel nippy when I got up and had to defrost the entire car which I had just paid to have cleaned yesterday. Antifreeze leaves smeers everywhere. Hey Ho.

Had to be up early today as college this weekend and back to the grindstone of work on Monday. 3 more weeks and the project should be in conclusion and maybe Dusan and I can take a domestic break to relax. Until we are wed we cant leave the country again as his visa will not be renewed if he goes abroad. So for now its domestic breaks within the mainland.

Another cold night looks to be ahead and so I guess another night of cuddles. Goodnight.

A family Man

Well after so much tension the inevitable happened today, and one is pleased. Firstly Mother phoned and asked if we would be in so she could pop by. Dusan was a little quiet, but it is always hard, getting to know someone for the firts time. We are never going to have children so in a small way, his coming into the family is broadening the family.

An hour after mother left, Adam and Verity showed up to fix the cupboard and to say hello. Everyone wants to meet Dusan now. His here. His not going away and Im sure they will love him too.

So he still has to meet my Granmother Lil and Dad, but its getting there, slowly but surely.

You know since he came home the house feels more homely. Welcome to the family Dusan x
