Long Days

Yesterday has to be said seemed to be one of the longest days at work ever. I dont know if it was because I had to commute all the way to Wimbledon or if it was that I was just facilitating. Thank goodness for Trish keeping me sane. Apparantly we got told off for not wearing our Apollo T Shirts yesterday! I thought they were for floor walking not training days. As we only got given one you can imagine how minging it would be after a couple of days. Even Fabreeze is not that good!

Monday was Bank Holiday and so even though I've only done 2 days at the office I have that Friday feeling already! Trish will be at a different office to me today. T, you better keep me smiling! I'm relying on you hon!

Long Weekend Wash Out

The Long Bank Holiday weekend can honestly be said was a complete was out. Well in regards to the weather at least. Friday it was nice in the afternoon but come Saturday lunchtime the grey had set in and on Sunday about 6" of rain fell on fair England. Following that an Artic Chill swept accross the land forcing the temperature down to just above freezing and causing us to have to switch the heating back on again. Its nearly June and we need heating? What is going on?

Somehow this morning I woke exactly a minute before my 545 (Stupid o'clock) alarm and made my jug of Java to help boost my day.

Hoping that the day flies by. Have a good one :-)

Reunited with friends old & new

Whilst plowing through my emails a request to join yet another website was in my inbox, sent from an old Disney friend Claudia Rosani Allen. Well Claudia and I became friends back at Walt Disney World in 1995 and hard to believe that that was day where very few had access to email and personal email addresses. It was a day pre mobile telephones so our only method of contact in those early years just 12 years ago was via snail mail or telephone. That said many of us stayed in touch, albeit less frequently by the methods we had available.

Now with email and text messaging it is naturally much easier. So you can only imagine my delite when through joining this new site (facebook) I have found myself a member of an Alumni from my Disney years and have been reaquainted with many an old face and many a fond memory. Every morning I get a new friend request from a face I once knew.

This morning I had a message back from Kiyomi Tanabe. We were really close friends for our Disney years and somehow just over the past two years as email addresses change we had lost touch. We may not have had the technology back when we left Disney to stay in touch like we do today, but the technology caught up and has allowed us all to find one another once more and re kindle the friendships that we once knew.

They often say that people that are in an intense situation much like a massive dissaster or a terroriest attack find themselves strangley bonded to one another. Far be Disney anything nasty like those examples but it was the most intense and amazing experience any young man or woman could ask to live. Leaving home just 2 days after my 22nd Birthday and moving to Orlando to work, live and play at the Happiest Place on Earth is no mean feat. We went from being young men and women to being the adults that would shape our lives for the rest of our days and the friendships that we made back then although may have thinned as time as past, the love, compassion and friendship is still there. Thankfully through facebook we are all reuniting once more. Hopefully a reunion can occur in the not too distant future too.

Furthermore, its not only about Disney. Why My good friend Mikey Pettet found me on there just this week too. What exactly Mikey was doing in that outfit that was plastered all over his page I really dont know, but I will leave you to decide.

Happy Bank Holiday!

Memories from the Past

Someone today sent me a photo that bought back so many happy memories. Through Facebook I have hooked up just this week with so many lost friends from my years at Disney. The picture was at Nick Carvers 30th Birthday Party on the good isle of Jersey where we all went for a fabulous weekend!

Can you recognise which one is me?

Now T, dont put words into my mouth

Seems I causing all sorts of jealousy with my posts. T made a comment on the "Trish, you know Trish" posting so I am correcting it now. You can please some of the people some of the time and the rest of the people the rest of the time. I love everyone. Im just a bubbly cuddly ball of love. And I do mean a ball. I think I have put on a ton of weight since I started this project. That Friday Thai lunch but be packed with Calories. Thank goodness its Friday. I met my friend Neil Sexton, Star of Gaydar Radio's award winning Breakfast show for a drink post work. He surprised me as his fellow presenters and also dear friends of mine were also there. The lovely Sam Vangeen and Jason Rosam. We had a few drinks in profile before coming home to a quiet chilled night of sex in the city (the tv show) and some Zinfindel. Bliss. Summers here at last!

Wedding Outfits

With so little time and so much to do and the fact that I am only off work on a Sunday for the foreseeable future we decided that today was best spent looking for Wedding outfits so headed down to the biggest mall in Europe, Bluewater. It has to be said that if you have to shop Bluewatetr is the place. Everything under one roof. We managed to find our suits and some Shirts so just shoes, ties, Cufflinks and belts to go. Oh and maybe a handkerchief each for our pockets incase either of us bursts into tears.

It seems like we have so much to do with so little time, especially as I am only off 1 day per week for a while. Im sure it will come together though.

Starting tomorrow I have to be in at 0800. I'm so not a morning person so goodness knows what I will feel like. I'll be sure to make it back later in the week. Until next time with love from Dusan and I. X

Finally

After months of faffing around the Home Office finally gave us their Certificate of Approval allowing Dusan and I to enter into Civil Partnership. We got the certificate yesterday and somehow between work which seems to take over even my weekends at the moment I will at some point manage to go to register our intent and then possibly early in July the man of my dreams will no longer be my fiancee but my loving Husband.

Watch this space for more! Mwah x

To Fight or to Celebrate

After nearly four months since Dusan arrived and waiting tentatively every day to hear we are told we will hear from the home office tomorrow or the day after. The package finally left the Home Office today so we should hear tomorrow or Wednesday at the very latest on their decision.

Will it be a celebratory evening or will we have to in the words of Shakespear, take arms against the sea of troubles. It feels like we have been on edge for months and Dusan himself says he just wants to know that everything is okay.

When you have found the one that you love, that it hurts so much to be apart why should a pen pusher from Whitehall be able to have the last say.

But for now, we do what we have done so much of late, wait. Wait for the package or the call from our solicitor and wait with the Verve in the Fridge ready to pop that cork in celebration. Dont laugh I just wrote Pop that Cock in celebration and noticed the typo. I think I can say that and get away with it even if this is a family page.

Fingers crossed, we wait and fight we will if needs be for I wont let them keep my love from me. I love him too much and cant bare to spend more time apart.

Fingers crossed and Ill keep you posted.

Much love Neil & Dusan s

Lazy Boys

I thought that after a heavy week it might be nice to have a lazy saturday and then do something Sunday or Monday. It was not to be. Yesterday we went shopping for a bike for Dusan. We found the one we wanted at Halfords and it will be delivered in the week. He says it will mean he can get to the gym easier.

Its been a long weekend and I feel like its flown by. Roll on the weekend eh?

Hoxton Whores

I guess you dont really appreciate how much you rely on your mobile until you dont have it. As 1730 approached yesterday my phone died. Unable to call Dusan as I dont know his number by heart I tried calling the land line but to no avail. I was stuck, alone and travelling home without a phone.

May the 4th is my Mothers Birthday, so having gotten home and not being able to contact Dusan we had to nip around and see mother and drop off her card and gift. What do you buy your mother? I had no idea until as I passed Boots at 830am and saw a frenzie going on within. Ahh, What do you buy someone who has everthing. Something that everyone wants. Boots new Serum was released today and I managed to get hold of some ! Phew. Along with some other beauty products that made up Ma's gift.

We promised to return today and remove the remains of Neils life from their house. I feel like I have been evicted, but if needs must.

After that we headed back home for a quick change and then off to Chops. Yes Marcus Chops. Dusan had been home all week and so why not go over and see Mr Chops. Its only 19 Miles. So off we popped and after and hour he took us on a friday night, gay crawl of the area. We walked through Hoxton, home of the Hoxton Whores, then down to the George & Dragon. A sort of Grungey gay bar with a difference. The music was kind of heavy, the crowd kind of gay, the decor kind of kitch and well, how do you decsribe the George & Dragon? It was weird and funky, Gay but Grunge and yet still slightly fabulous.

Trish, you know, Trish

Having said a Hello to T, I have now made Trish jealous and she keeps us laughing and keeps me smiling so a Hello to Trish too! Anyone else want a mention?

Meanwhile, my dubious colleagues have decided that a picture I foolishly posted of myself in the shower could end up as someones wallpaper. Well fame never did anyone any favours.

I think I shocked half the gang today after sharing with them the joys of QX and boys magazine. Well its hardly my fault if the straight world is so behind the times is it?

Meanwhile I came home around 7 and made sure I got use of my vote. I guess the polls will be coming in around 11:00. Mind you its more the Croatians I am interested in. Hehe.

Congratulations to Christine Wollert Johansen, my dear friend in Oslo, Norway for purchasing her first home. I understand she is busy constructing flat pack furniture. I must be the only person in the world that knows how to do Ikea furniture the gay boy way.

1) Visit Ikea with mother.
2) Load mothers car with furniture
3) Drive directly to fathers work
4) Go to mothers for coffee
5) Constucted Ikea Furniture arrives at home and is placed in correct rooms
6) Arrive home refreshed and magically the furniture is in place

Well you have to have certain standards. That along with a simple rule in life that I believe is the only real steadfast rule of fabulousness and one that I take no original claim to but that I recieved from my dear friend Patsie. "Never turn Right on an airplane".

Came home and felt a spoilt husband. Dinner was being dished up and wine already poured. Well I dont claim its easy but it sure is nice being a "Lucky Bitch".

A Huge Hello to our latest Reader

Here at Lucky Bitches we always like to welcome new readers. Our newest (that I know of at least) is the lovely T. One of my lovely colleagues. We are all out on site visits at client sites this week and I understand she had undertaken the Bristol & Birmingham offices.

I, meanwhile, am working down in Bank. Just wanted to say a big hello and welcome to Theresa!

More soon!

Neil

DIGITAL TERRESTRIAL STATION OF THE YEAR

"A station that captures the heart of its community and gives it a vibrant voice. A very professional and exciting listen."

I didnt know that the awards were last night until I got up this morning and heard Neil Sexton & Jason Rosam talking about it on the air. They only went and won Digital Terrestrial Station of the year. It makes them sound a little like ET but the Sony Awards are the biggest in the Industry and after all the hours and hour of awesome music and hard work, plus the funnest station on Planet Earth they desserve it so much.

Congratulations to everyone at Gaydar Radio! After they scooped Digital Station of the year at the BT Music Awards last year to win this one too can only mean one thing, they really are the Best Station in the UK. :-)

2 days of work from Bank this week, which means a rare lie in till 650AM! Its a long weekend so will at least get a lie in. Right im off to become a lucky bitch. Ciao.
