Home Sweet Home

Finally after months of waiting for the paperwork to go through we moved into our new London home last week. The week has flown as we have been shopping for a bed and desk and unpacking box after box.

Its small but well designed and we both have a feeling we will be very happy there.

Friday I was invited to a party at one of the gay boys in the complex and it was nice to meet some of the Gaybours.

Ill be glad when we have a sofa and can invite friends over.

Still waiting on the broadband to be connected so will update again soon

Much love for now.

Sign of the times?

Having spent the day packing up box after box after box of stuff ready for our move I just didnt feel like spending a whole nighter out at a club. Dusan had wanted to go party with his friends and I had said I would go. But at the last minute, I really didnt want to. I bailed. Does it mean that I am getting over it (Clubbing) or that I am getting old?

In the end the decision not to go I made because I wanted Dusan to go and have a good time and not feel like I was hanging on and wanting to go. I think it was the right move.

He messaged me later and said I could go to XXL if I wanted but I was really not in the mood. I just wanted to stay home, chill and have a quiet night. I guess that deep down if you love someone and trust someone that much there comes a time that you have to let them go and do their own thing and understand that sometime you have to got to do your own too.

I am purposely trying to stay up a bit later so that I am not completely on a different time zone to Dusan when he finally does get in.

I have a feeling that once we have moved and have the gym on the door step that my energy levels will start to return again. At least I hope they will? Otherwise I was right all along. I am getting old!

Champagne Bar for Everyone!!!

My old work colleague Helen and I had agreed to a day out to get away from the boredom of not working. We met at Kings Cross where he train got in and agreed to go to the Champagne bar, the Longest in the word for a drink or two and some snacks. It was fabulous and althought it was freezing they had little heaterst that kept us warm in our own booth. Fabulous. :-)

From there we hit Bond Street and Regent Street. I bought such a fabulous pair of jeans and belt in Armani but Shsssssssssssss. Ill get told off.

Finally we went to Selfridges for the Motzella bar. Divine. Helen does know how to make me smile. Happy Birthday to Chops & Trish.

Much love xxx

Opera

Just when I thought it couldnt get worse. I was feeling ill and so decided I would go up to bed. At least they dont play instruments up there. Some lady next door was scrieling Opera style on the upper floor. Arghhhhhh. Actually went for a walk to escape!

How Irritating

Thankfully I only have to put up with it for one more week, until we move.

We are surrounded on either side of the house here by neighbours. The walls between the buildings being no thicker than the normal MDF that separates an internal wall in a flat.

Through this wall from 8AM until late in the evening we are bombarded with the racket that is someone trying to play Piano, squeeling on a recorder or a very flat saxophone. I can only presume that there is some sort of music teacher there but its really begining to get on my nerves. I wouldnt mind but I dont feel well today and really just want to dose off on the sofa instead of listening to that racket.

So I have decided I should blast some Gaydar Radio at them! At least thats in tune. Maybe I am just irritable having woken up before 0700 this morning. Roll on springtime. Is it me or does February really seem to be dragging?

Sweeny Todd

Having sat in for most of the week and totally getting bored off my skull, Dusan finally got a day off and we decided to go to a movie.

Rather than just going to the local we had wanted to go and try the movie theatre at the 02 for some time. We decided that it would be perfect. Having bought some Bourbon the night before we could enjoy a nice drink and then take the tube to North Greenwhich.

What a lovely transition from the usual movie experience. You can buy tickets online and collect at the theatre or rather than having a ticket booth, all of the concession booths are where you buy your tickets. So you dont even queue twice, once for tickets and once for popcorn. Its all the same.

The lovely ladies at the concession asked us if we had parked as you get free parking if you are using the 02 parking. (Car Park 4 only though). She handed us two vouchers to save £1.50 each on our next visits. Im loving this Disney style service already.

The theatre obviously is new with great surround sound and we totally loved it.

The 02 itself is worth a visit. A boulevard of restaurants, theatres and event venues fill the space. We will definitely be back soon :-)

Finally...

Its official. We are the proud owners of a new flat. Our first home bought together as a married couple. It seems so formal in a way. Finally we will be the proud owners in a couple of weeks and are very much looking forward to moving in and making it our new home.

Its been very difficult driving past the complex over the past 4 months (its literally a couple of minutes down the road) having a yearning to be there and a feeling that its going to be a happy place to live. We will be ready to crack open the Champagne soon.

PS

Hopefully exchange this week :-) Yeah!

Little Stuart, Stuart Who & XXL

Little Stuart (Bless his cotton socks) invited me to his for Pizza Express around 9:00 and then onto XXL. We call him little Stuart cos his rather short, but anything but little. His one big personality and we love him to bits. After all his 100% Class (Now thats the Badger!). Mark joint us and a few of Stu's friends. Well I should sue I tell you. Pizza Express, my ass. It was Tesco Pizza. He may have tried to pass it off as Tesco Finest but its still Tesco. I wouldnt have gone if I had known. Just kidding. It was actually lovely though I think it made some of the group fart. After all we were driving from his flat to XXL when someone let off the most almighty flabby woof woof.

Then in the club they virtually evacuated when someone let rip on the main dance floor.

Poor Dusan had to work until around 215 but joint us later and it was lovely to see my babycakes when he arrived.

In the club I actually met up with a few of my Poke Buddies from Facebook. Some boys from Wales, Denis & Westley whom I know from Facebook. Then just after that we were all on the main dance floor and I spotted a face I knew from across the dancefloor. Is that Rui from South Africa across the way? It was but I was in mid conversation so held off saying hello. When I did get the chance it was one of those "Rui?", "Neil?". OMG, he said. I said to my friends is that Vauxhallcowboy over there? Funny that people know you by your Alias more than your real name. We had a fun night and made it back in time to be in bed before too late as Dusan was due at work at 3AM! Once more a fun weekend. Thanks a million to Stuart and Iianis. (pronouced Yannis but sorry cant remember the spelling).

Stu said I was half the night on edge waiting for Dusan to arrive but once he was there we were all fabulous and happy. How nice to see Stuart so happy with a man at his side and how lovely to see Mark and other friends on yet another fabulous night out and one on which we actually said, isnt it nice to be a lucky bitch!

Goodbye Nazeing, Hello London

I swear it seems longer than a 3 months or so but finally after about 4 months after we decided to put the house on the market we completed yesterday. No more having to drive back there to pack up yet another load of boxes. All of our belongings are now in storage and for the first time in 2.5 years I am presently back in rented accomodation.

Yesterday the van took the stuff away, I gave a last minute Vacume and headed out of the door. TTFN Nazeing.

Good news came this morning when my solicitor said they were ready to exchange contracts on the new flat as early as Monday and we could potentially be moving into our new appartment within 3 weeks. Yeehaw. Cant wait to have our own pad again. After nearly five months of living out of boxes its gonna be great to have it all back in drawers again!
