New Job & Weekend

Went down to Brighton on Friday evening and spent the night over. Was lovely to catch up with Jaffa Joe again but I did have a sore head the next day (red wine induced) that meant that I wasnt really in the mood to stay another night, so we came home to chill and do some shopping.

Started a new job today. This week I am based all the way over in Wimbledon (Anyone for Tennis) which is a bit of a trek, but its a new contract. After this week I will move to Soho which is far more sophisticated and fabulous.

Came home to a lovely cooked dinner and Dusan had the place spotless but as I have to get up so darn early to cross the city will soon be time for bed and I have only been home half an hour. Oh well the joys of having a house husband. I wouldnt change him for the world.

More soon. Much love Neil

The day before my Birthday!

Somehow a year has flown around and so much has happened in that year. I often see my birthday as not so much being a celebration of my Birth date but the start of the Summer. If the Met Office are correct we look to have another hot summer this year and they say it could easily top the all time high record set in 2003.

This evening we are staying in and just trying to save some money. Seems my costs have rocketed of late and I am struggling to make ends meet. Thankfully I have a new contract starting shortly.

I dont feel any older, I guess I feel a little wiser and although I may have to make sacrafices and stay in a lot more, I am still a lucky bitch. After all I live with Dusan and I have some wonderful friends whom I adore. For the first time in years my Birthday is set to be a scorcher too!

Not much else to say other than hope to see you all soon.

Much love

Neil x

Scotty's 30th Birthday Party

I cant believe that its 4 weeks Sunday since I celebrated my 30th Birthday with dear friends at that fabulous party Alex threw me. This time around it was Scott's 30th and to celebrate he had booked some tables at the RVT? For dinner? Yes, I was puzzled too. Food at the RVT? Well turns out that they do a bargain dinner and show deal. We had a huge bowl of Stew with loads of fresh bread and 4 comedians on the stage all shared in good company. The couple that were comparing were actually camp and at times as funny as the acts on the stage. Everyone was commenting on how weird it was for us to all be dining in the RVT but then the place proved that once again it can prove a great location for a fabulous night out.

At 0900 this morning I received a call from a new agent that I had spoken with last night about a possible contract. Had the interview today and had a call this evening offering me the post, so its all been a fun and positive upbeat day. All thats left is my weekly intake of Ugly Betty!

Just because i've not done much doesn't mean I'm not a lucky bitch!

What with a wedding to plan and my contract with Cofunds ending a couple of weeks ago I have been busy re organizing the office and updating my CV in readiness for the next contract. Once again, my good friend Claire put my name forward and I have to get up and get ready now and rush off to an interview in Wimbledon. Fingers crossed I could be back at work by Monday. I really don't know how Dusan occupies himself all day, I would be bored senseless by now. Still we are just waiting for the Home Office now and then once we have their approval we can start to make plans for our future together.

Sorry I have not had much to write, sometimes I do tons and sometimes I do not a lot but as my good friend Neil pointed out, I have my friends, I have Dusan and that really does make me a "Lucky Bitch" after all.

Ugly Betty Shocker

Well for those of you that want the juiciest on Ugly Betty, Daniels brother isn't dead as has been mentioned many times in the show. This evening in the E4 preview of Fridays show, not only is Alex Mead alive he is now Alexis Mead. Shocking one and all at Fashion Week with announcing to the media world that he was back and now Alexis. Whats more, the woman who has been talking from the darkness about the dastardly plans for their future at Mode Magazine was not, after all, Fey Sommers but rather Alexis in disguise.

We do love Betty and our weekly burst every Wednesday keeps us happy.

We both started back at the gym last week and have been desperately trying to get into the swing of things. 4 days straight now so I guess we are having some results.

Finally its a long weekend and time to catch up with some friends. Happy Easter everyone and don't eat too much chocolate.

How old do you act?

Take the quiz and find out :-) It only takes 2 minutes.

You Are 24 Years Old

Under 12: You are a kid at heart. You still have an optimistic life view - and you look at the world with awe.

13-19: You are a teenager at heart. You question authority and are still trying to find your place in this world.

20-29: You are a twentysomething at heart. You feel excited about what's to come... love, work, and new experiences.

30-39: You are a thirtysomething at heart. You've had a taste of success and true love, but you want more!

40+: You are a mature adult. You've been through most of the ups and downs of life already. Now you get to sit back and relax.

Gym & Dentist

Finally, after much of a struggle to get the motivation have made it back to the gym again. I changed gym's in February when my old membership ran out at the local one offered us 2 memberships for £50 per month, a saving of over £300 per year (who can resist a bargain). Its close enough that even if I am working Dusan can walk to the gym and go albeit a 2 mile walk. Thats his warm up sorted anyway.

So last week we finally made a decision to hit the gym at least 3 times. So far we are on track with 3 days out of four. I have found that if I go around the time I usually have my daily phone calls I can talk and work out and that makes the time go so much quicker. Plus Dusan and I set each other a challenge on one of the machines and have to match it. They have this big old machine that is like part of an escalator and yesterdays challenge was at Level 10 to do 30 stories. It will rise by five storeys per week. Still having looked at my weight and B.M.I. yesterday and being at least 5% more body mass than I would like the Cardio has go to kick in on a regular basis from now on.

This afternoon I have my dentist, which I have a feeling will mean my credit card has a severe dent in it. The only bright side of it I can think of is that I can possible have some Botox while I am there. After all I do want to be wrinkle free by the time the Civil Partnership comes around eh?

Usually when we go to London we spend the whole day there but I think we will take a chance to go and visit the new bar "Profile" on Frith Street and then come back in time to hit the gym. Thinking Fit for Summer. My current target is to loose 8 Kilo's by May. That should be possible right?

Cancelled Class

Having got up at 630AM and left home at 730 to get to college for 830 we were all none too happy when the trainers failed to show up and we were sent home. It wasn't so much the waste of journey or the fact that we were up so early but that we are all eager to finish training and get out on the job. Today was to be the penultimate class. They said that it will be rescheduled and in exceptional circumstances an exceptional class will have to be undertaken. I just hope I get to pass out in 2 weeks as planned.

Havig arrived home way earlier than expected Dusan and I were able to go and do some shopping in the retail park and get the remainder of the decking varnish we need to finish the job and then the decorating will finally be complete.

It was a nice day to have off I just feel it was wasted not doing anything substantial. Still we have the whole week together and so no point in wearing our selves out at the weekend.
