Okay, so it wasn't easy sticking to the very restricted foods allowed and it most certainly wasn't easy on Phase I with no alcohol, no caffeine, no fruit, no pasta and only 50 grams of carbs a day permitted in the first five days. I also confess, I ended it early as it was Dusan's birthday weekend and we had arranged to meet Alex & Mikey for cocktails Friday evening. I got to Tuesday and weigh in day and got on the Scale and have lost 2 Kilos or 4 lbs! Woop Woop. Not a bad start.
Phase II see's me eating no processed foods and I have learned from Phase I what I should eat and wat I should I avoid. I've cut back to one cup of coffee a day and replaced all the others with Water. That's got to be good for me even without the fact that each of those 8 Cappuccinos I used to drink probably has close to 150 Calories. That's 1200 or over half of my daily allowance of calories in just a coffee! Woops.
I have also cut out my sugar in coffee, have stopped drinking Diet Coke and been thinking about what I eat more as a going concern. While I am not being as strict as some of the team on what I can and can not eat I am feeling a positive vibe from it all. I'm not only 4 Lbs lighter, I have more energy and have upped my gym work outs. Thanks to Groupon, I have 3 Spinning sessions paid for at a venue just three minutes walk from the office that my colleague is going to go to with me. Will be a great chance to burn off some calories during the middle of the day.
Post gym I had a boiled Duck Egg for dinner and before you say that's not enough, I did eat a Chicken Breast & a side salad around 1630 before the gym!
So it's all going to plan so far. I doubt I will have lost much, if any, weight this week, but we will see.
I am also planning on taking Skating lessons and can eventually give up the train and skate to work daily. How cool would that be?
Fingers Crossed the Scales are not evil come Tuesday!
