Mark & Richard invited me to a small cheese & wine party at theirs this Friday evening. At first you could easily be lead astrayed to think that this was an acronim for something more sinister than we were leaving to believe.
Londoners suffer from what I can only describe as "Too much syndrome". Two much of everything, its too good there. They are so used to partying and having fun that it all merges with reality and the fact that you CAN go out everynight. Which means on the odd occasion that someone flings open their own doors and invites you over, you come bounding in leaps.
Tonight was such an occasion. I made myself across town and to Surrey Quays and parked at the shopping centre so that I could buy some Wine & drink and flowers for my hosts. As I left the supermaket and was queueing to pay at Checkout I spotted a good old friend of mine from years back, James Sky. Neither of us had seen each other for 3 years so a nice catch up was due and we made our way to the Burger Kng Restaurant to get a couple of coffees.
Was nice to catch up afer so long!
Arrived at the party just after 7 pm and soon after Stuart Little arrived. He insisted on turning every picture in the house upstairs over so it was upsidedown. An hour later Richard spotted the upside down picture and attempted to right it. Slipping on teh uneven stair and while at reach, the picture fell and hit his middle upper lip, causing immediate swelling and bleeding. How Stuart and I laughed. Which we truly feel evil for, but how we laughed and laughed. God bless Richard it really did happen to the nicest man you could ever want to meet.
The rest of the party was fine but uneventfull. Fab night out and off to bed now for an early one for me at 0130AM
Night Night X
