Well to tell the storey correct I would have to say we were drunk as we arrived. I had been told I should arrive in Black Tie or Evening Dress. So one wore aprorpriate dress. Well the others arrived and seemed Matt had lied about all the boys wearing dresses. Oh well, always one for a laugh me.
We had a few drinks and chatted in his flat for 4 hours waiting for the final hours of 2008 to count down. I had picked up a few party platters when I had gotten off the train at a shop I dont frequent, Iceland. We all agreed that while Mums may go to Iceland Gays go to Waitrose. What a pile of poop. It was like synthetic junk. No wonder Kerry Katona has pilled on the weight. I dont think I will be going back there again.
Midnight came around and we nipped out on to the Roof Terrace to watch the fireworks that errupted over London town then due to the bitter cold, came in to watch the spectacular on the BBC over the River Thames. Its nice that London now puts on a World Class Show as Greenwich Mean Time hits midnight.
Just before midnight Tall Lee arrived, his a professional Magician and had been out at gigs all evening. We asked his to do a few tricks for us. He was brilliant and we had our own private Magic Show. I rememeber at some stage being given the phone and talking to Julian Clary.
Best of all, I could stagger home from the party to my own flat in 2 minutes flat. One SE8 is a fabulous place to live. Its actually become a community of friends and in a city the size of London where neighbours dont talk, its nice to have freinds within the complex. Happy New Year one and all and huge thanks to Steve for his New Year Hospitality.
