OMG. Thats all I can say. OMG. Its been over 12 years but last night was the first ever Disney Reunion in the united Kingdom for the 1996 cast members of Walt Diseny World.
We went along expecting not to know anyone but far from it. The moment we entered the room there was Tanya May, Trisha Burns, Liz who wrote me that awesome poem. This huge masculine guy with a tres hairy chest who's named passed me till he came beaming over and said "Neil....." I was hesitant as I said "Ben?"
Apparantly I was a Disney Icon. They all looked up to me as I personified the Diseny experience.
Last night proved one thing, you can take the boy out of Disney but never the Disney out of the boy. It was almost as though it was yesterday that we were there as friendships formed with such intensity never fade. Thankfully we met Fabrizio prior to going there and had a chance to catch up pre reunion. It was Disney Magic 100%.
We may all be 12 years older but memories never fade and most of us said the same thing. We lived the dream we were the magic but we have all moved on and we are all still fabulous. Fabulous but older. Thank you guys. I left the house thinking I may know a couple of people. Instead I knew nearly everone. Thats the magic of Disney. To top it off, Ben lives in Bristol, my next work asignment and he promises me a girly night out.
Proof that the magic never fades!
