Sunday morning I woke up and my tooth was feeling a little achey, but it didnt seem too bad and nothing that a an Ibuprofein could not handle before we went off on the Sailors boys cruise.
Thankfully Monday there was notyhing and I headed off to my work location for another week away. By Tuesday the pain was back and kept me awake some of the night, despite having more pain killers.
By Wednesday evening the agony was unbearable as I called my dentist for an emergency appointment the following day on my return. The following 24 hours were sheer agony. The pain seemed to get worse as the day got further on.
I managed to get permission to leave early on Thursday and thankfully I had the best group of students I have had on this roll out so far.
By the time I got to the Dentist in the west end I was in such pain it was all I could do not to hold my face as the pain throbbed out.
My Dentist started with Xray's and was able to work out which of the Teeth had caused the problem. He told me that it was a choice of Route Canal or I would have too loose the tooth. Having seen Dusan loose many of his own teeth I decided that Route Canal was the best option and so with some sedation he started to work on my mouth. I have never felt so gratefull for a shot of lignacain in all of my life.
By the time I left and the Lignacain was wearing off the pain returned and I was given more industrial strength pain killers. Thankfully the pain subdued by the morning. Thankfully the pain is over now but I hope I never have to go through something like that ever again.
