While watching the news, apparantly the Indian Truckers have been doing much similar to our own Truckers, blockaiding roads around the country.
Unlike in the UK where the tax exceeds 50% of the cost the fuel in India is apparantly subsidised. The government has increased the cost of fuel by 10% to cover some of the billions of Pounds of subsidies they currently pay to enable its people to have cheaper fuel.
Their truckers are refusing to move until the government listens. Sometimes it just makes me wonder what it will take before our truckers do much the same?
