I first met David back at the Richmond Arms in what must have been 1997. He and his then boyfriend David were regulars at the Richmond Arms. Ironic that years later we should re-aquint via the Gaydar Radio Chat Room.
Recently he found out that this past week he would have to have a hip replacement at the young age of 37. Most people that have such an opperation are way over 60.
He went in on Thursday morning and was in the theatre by 10:00AM. After 4 hours under anasthetic and a bit of a problem with heart puplitations and having to have a blood transfusion we are pleased to annouce he is well and on the way to recovery. I went to visit him this afternoon at the Charing Cross Hospital (Ironically its not at Charring Cross but actually in Hammersmith!).
He looked remarkably perky and in good health. Having an entire ward to himself this evening (apparantly they are expecting a bus load of pensioners tomorrow).
It was good to see him so full of spirit and looking very full of life despite the morphine. Rest up my friend and get well soon.
