Back to Soho

I cant say I was particuarly pleased to be getting up this morning. I probably hate my current job at a score of ten out of ten which is most unlike me. I usually love my job. Let me retract that. I do love my job, Training. But all of this sitting around is driving me insane.

Instead of flying to Amsterdam on Thursday for a 2 week period of training I am being sent back into the Soho Square office to do yet more prep work. Having spent in excess of six weeks learning the software, writing training materials and generally getting ready for the 10 week roll out, everything has now been put on hold for a further 3 weeks.

For 3 weeks I have been away from home, up in Nottingham and Birmingham staying no more than a five minute commute from my Hotel to the office. So to say I am looking forward to going in this morning, looking forward to the Rat Race of standing all the way to the office on an over packed train, which will probably be so hot that it would be illegal to transport cattle in such a way, is somewhat of an understatement.

I won't let it get to me though. We have all promised to be upbeat and positive and keep each other going. Not an easy task when the project team feels much like the Mary Celest. 2 More quit on Friday and 2 more the previous Tuesday. How they will fill the shoes of those that are missing I dont know. I'm guessing word has gotten out about what a shambles they are to work for. But I guess I will soldier on.

Still its a short week for me. Mikey and I are off to Amsterdam for a long weekend. :-) 9 Days to the wedding! Where did that time fly by to?
