It seems that Summer has finally arrived. Today was around 24 degrees and un interupted sunshine. We had talked about going to the RVT. Perfect place to spend a sunday chilling. But the idea of an 80 minute journey each way without air conditioning was kind of off putting. We are both begining to hate living so far out of town. The village may be fine if you are straight or old or even if you work locally. Take my father or Brother. Both of them have friends in the village, they both work at the firm just a couple of miles up the road. The Golf Club or Local Pub provide them with their entertainment needs. For us however its like Gay Hell. The only thing we do here is sleep. It may be a nice home but at the end of the day we feel like life is passing us by in the fast lane while we are stuck here watching it all go by without us.
Going down to the shops we feel like people stare, oh its so not easy being the only gays in the village.
We have had to stay put for a while as we needed to sort out Dusan's home office approval and still have the visa to sort post the wedding then it will be a definite case of relocation.
We think we have seen the complex we would like to live in, only they are all presently sold. If they have one go on the market soon I am sure we would be keen. It just seems sometimes that the world is against you. Finally I am in a position to buy a home and London prices are so high we cant afford it.
Still we spent a day doing something we couldnt do in London. Chilling in the garden in the sunshine with some Pinot Grigio. Bliss. Finally got a touch of sunshine. :-) Roll on the long warm summer!
