You wouldnt believe that a week ago today there was a foot of snow outside the window. The weekend saw sunsine and 6-7 degrees. All that remained were a few snowman as their clumped up snow sits on bright green grass.
Saturday Dusan had to work as I got up and made my way to Bluewater for 2PM where I had arranged to meet Steph for lunch.
I've not seen Steph since her birthday last year and before that our weekend shopping in Calais. So it was lovely to catch up. Having known Steph since 2000 as a work colleauge we have grown to be dear friends over the years. Getting to know each other further after we went to celebrate GJ's 40th in Las Vegas several years ago.
We met in a lovely little French restaurant where I blew my diet with a club sandwhich and fries plus Zinfindale. Opps. Well its the weekend. We chatted for a couple of hours before wandering around the mall that was absolutely heaving. I had to buy a pair of work slacks as accidentaly tour one of my pairs while bending down in the kitchen and catching them on the corner of a drawer.
Got home around 6PM in time to relax and shower & shave before heading off to pick up Mikey and go to XXL. His flatmate Blake & Boyf Ian joined us. I couldn't believe that Blake was totally drunk by the time we got to Mikeys.
XXL was officially underwear night. Think of the voice from the muppets for Pigs in Space... "Bears in Pants".... Lol. We arrived when I suddenly realised I had on Red Calvin Kleins and arriving sober was no state to be willing to go in my pants. As the dress code was optional and less than 10% of the clubbers were in their undies we all declined. After all, where would you put your coins?
It was okay. It wasnt as busy as it has been. I belive Mega Woof was on in Vauxhall and the usual crowd were missing. Still was great to see Mikey & Blake again. Mikey and I left at 230AM.
The weekend now over, the snow now gone, another week begins and we are told more snow is on its way this week. We will see what mayhem it causes. Apparantly the councils are running out of grit for the roads which does beg to ask the question, how can a country surrounded by sea ever run out of Salt?
