Shattered

Waking up on a Monday morning with a feel of utter exhaustion is never a good way to start a six day week. Infact as I arrived at the office and sat at a desk with my legs aching in a way that says I can almost feel a flu coming on. You know that you need to do something to ensure you get some rest.

One good factor is that I am, once again, away in Birmingham, meaning that I don’t have to commute other than to and from the city. I can take a stroll for 10 minutes from my loggings to the Office and don’t have to deal with transport of any kind.

So yesterday I told Trish I needed a day off to take my time at getting to Birmingham at Leisure as opposed to doing a full day and then trekking half way up the country. I was quite surprised therefore when I woke and found a message saying “Where are you?”. Guess something got lost somewhere along the line.

Had found online a few properties in the complex that we want to move to. Its perfect for connections to the DLR into town but was a little small. I guess the decision is, do we take a smaller flat for a few years and enjoy the fact that we are now DINKY and are able to over pay the mortgage somewhat or do we hang out for a bigger place say around 250,000? Its ironic isn’t it? Our first Married home together costs a quarter of a million pounds. A million pounds was such a huge sum as a child and now every home in the country costs that or more.

This one was small but was cheap enough that we could afford to borrow a little more and put in a decent kitchen and a more modern bathroom. We will see. I will ask Dusan to go and see it on his day off before making any decisions.

David will be in Birmingham this week so will be nice to catch up with him. I just hope I am not too tired to wait up for him.
