May Day Bank Holiday

Had been looking forward to an extra lie in this week, especially as Dusan has been working on the closing shift and I have had much interupted sleep.

It wouldnt be so bad if he could just lie still instead of bouncing around the bed half of the night, then wakes me up entirely as he sits on top of me, reaching over to get my glass of water. Doesnt matter that I tell him to take one of his own to bed. Of course, me being the insomniac means that I cant get back to sleep and have been awake since 645 this morning, although I did manage to doze on and off. Ever notice how when you are in doze mode its when you have the weirdest dreams.

The weather has really warmed up and even at midnight last night it was warm enough for just a tee shirt and shorts. Naturally we had the windows open to allow for a little air. Hoping that the world alike would be enjoying a nice lie in too. Naturally I was to be proven wrong as the noise of a Lawnmower roared in the midmorning peace. It reminded me much of my days living at Disney in Vistaway and how we were often worken up by the gardeners who persistantly decided to use the strimmer outside your window at 730 in the morning.

Why our green quad had to be mowed on a Bank Holiday weekend I will never know. I was quite surprised to see an old boy pushing it around the large square and not relaxing on a sit down mower, considering how much grass there is here to cut.

We are now up and enjoying a coffee before we have to make our way over to Mark & Richards and are off to the Mayflower to have lunch on the River. Then it will be home to pack and off to work for the rest of the week.

At least it feels like summer is finally on its way :-)
