OMG – Im Getting Old. Its my Birthday!

It was an Odd morning to be celebrating ones birthday. Initially after the late night on Thursday I took a really nice long sleep in waking nearly at 2.30pm. Made the usually Jug off freshly brewed coffee ( you really do have to grind the beans fresh everyday and make in a caffetier or Coffee machine. As Marcus would say, “I don’t even have Instant in the house”.

Sat on the sofa in my birthday suit (What else would you wear on your birthday?) and logged on to the usual sites collecting my messages & emails.

I had several cards and gifts that had arrived in the previous week that I had saved, so spent coffee unwrapping cards and gifts from my various benefactors. Huge thanks to ;
• Mum & Dad
• Adam & Verity
• Nan
• Auntie Paul, Uncle Trevor, Sam, Denham & Lee
• David
• Fanny
• Jane
• Stuart
• Mark & Richard

Having caffeinated, unwrapped cards and gifts I spent the day chilling. Made a nice Fry up of Eggs & Bacon on toast and vegetated watching television pre shower & change and leaving for Stuarts house for pre club drinks.

Crash & Chariots followed and once again I was home so late my body was not sure what time of day it was or anything. I struggled to be asleep by noon. Thank goodness Sunday was written off for resting. The big problem is when you are having fun with friends you really don’t want to make the huge drive home knowing that the minute you get into the car its all over.

Driving back along the A12 toward Essex the signal in the radio got weaker & weaker until it was gone. I couldn’t work out how it was the same on all channels until I pulled into my driveway and realised that some blooming tea leaf (Cockney for Thief) had stolen my un screwable Ariel. Of all the mean things to do and on my birthday of all days. Thankfully it didn’t ruin my weekend or birthday by any means. But come on, what use is a Mini Ariel to anyone else? Probably just kids having a laugh. I guess its sent to remind me of why I left London in the first place!
