Cosmetic enhancement

Despite the fact that yesterday was one of the hottest days of the Month at 28 degrees. Some ten degrees hotter than the months average I spent the whole day from 10 - 4pm sat in a Dentist chair. I was due for my final appointment at the Dental Spa, Charlotte Street (The Gay Dentist) for my final oral work. So to speak.

I had to have my route canal finished which was the part that scared me the most. After that he took out all of my metal fillings and replaced them with new ceramic ones (or whatever the white stuff is made of). He showed me on a close up picture how much the old mercury ones wear away and how they will cause you trouble in the furture. So they were all removed and replaced. Cohan (my dentist) has cured my fear of the dentist and I turned the whole experience around and made it not a Dentist visit but actually a cosmetic enhancement visit. My initial work and emergency treatment post my filling falling out are now complete. I have a much nicer whiter smile and he cleaned them all like no dentist has ever done. I have never known such a perfectionist at work. It may have taken 6 hours but they made my crown on site and now I have a Hollywood smile.

After that I met up with Joeleen and did some retail therapy. Joeleen has to be the perfect shopping partner. I bought a couple of Birthday gifts and a special 65th Birthday gift for my Dad next week and some presents for Dusan next month when I go visit. I cant really say what I bought cos if either of them read this that will blow the surprise.

Came home, popped in and saw the folks and ended up in bed by 11:00. All this therapy wears you out. Thank goodness its the weekend.

Tons to look forward to and keep me occupied before I see Dusan again. I have Gills Birthday Party this evening, Ibiza for Richards 40th next week, Alton Towers Gaydar days next weekend (www.gaydardays.co.uk), 2 massive days at work next week and then i'm off to Zagreb to see my baby. I know his 26 and not a baby by any means. Quite a grown up young man, but its our term of endearment to each other and somehow I started to call him Babycakes when we first met, a term I picked up off Lavern in Orlando when I lived there (memo to me, finish my Orlando Memoirs to publish).

Not sure what we will do in Zagreb, but looking forward and counting the days and minutes till I am with him again. I guess its having a countdown that keeps you going.

Off now to brush my shiney new teeth. Have a fabulous weekend. Neil x
