Cardiff Weekend

After a late night out living it large in a packed Cardiff Saturday evening we have come to the conclusion that there were probably more gay people there for Madonna than there would be for even Cardiff Pride. The Bars were 6 people deep to get served for a drink.

We woke Sunday around 1:00PM. Both feeling a little shattered from the night before's festivities. We had missed Breakfast and so met Alex and Mikey and went to lunch at Ha Ha's before taking a walk around the city centre and doing some retail therapy.

By 4:00PM we were all feeling tired from walking and so went back to the hotel to chill. Dusan fell asleep within a few seconds, so Mikey and I went down to enjoy the Pool, Jacuzzi and Steam room in the hotels Spa.

At 6:00PM we made our way to the 7th Floor Executive Lounge where they serve free VIP nibbles from 6:00. Plus the free alcohol is available too. So we stated for 2 hours enjoying cocktails and some wine.

I had thought we would all be going out to dinner in the evening but the others wanted to do a Bar Crawl. So we started at the Loft Bar then on to Icon and then made our way down to the Golden Cross where my friend Denis said he would be.

They had a drag act on just as we arrived and the place was heaving with people. It was Miss Kitty Litter's time to entertain and I have to say she did have a belting voice and we enjoyed the show. Then imagine our surprise when they announced it was to be Karaoke following the act. I had clearly had a bit to drink as I signed Mikey and I up to sing Copacabana. Having not done Karaoke in years we enjoyed ourselves on Stage and more drinks followed till we got back via Chip Shop Alley to the Hotel around 1:30AM. It was a fabulous weekend and a good time was had by all. It must have been good as Dusan is already saying he would like to go back to Cardiff soon!
