With the GSK project almost in the bag it was time for some of the Mop Ups to begin. Another early Monday morning start had me driving to the office at stupid O'clock. I dont have a problem ever in getting up around 7AM but to get up at 5AM. It sucks.
Still I was up at 5:00, ground my beans and made a huge jug of freshly brewed coffee and sat online for 10 minutes to catch up on emails and facebook before jumping into the shower and making myself ready to leave.
I was unusually quick this week and was actually out of the door and had the car boot loaded with my stuff and was heading up the exit ramp and out through the gate even before Sarah Kennedy came on the Radio. I alwasy thought she started before 06:00.
Now I have my route sorted I am fine. Its not the most direct route, but its the quickest avoiding every bottle neck I know. As my car (Samantha - I named her after Kim Catrell, She's Blond, Fabulous, everyone looks at her and she always gets what she wants!), passed the roundabout and headed onto the bridge the sun was jus starting to come up and was shining, very low on the houses of Parliament. Its an amazing site at that hour. The air is so still and quiet with still light traffic on the roads. Its like there is a freshness about it. I love seeing the houses of Parliament like that.
Managed to get through the day and a few of us went to a gorgeous little country village pub, not far from Heathrow called the Ostrich. They even had a full sized stuffed one upstairs near the bathrooms.
Got home this evening and it was an odd feeling. It was that Friday feeling, but it wasnt Friday. It was Tuesday. I cleaned the appartment, cooked some Chicken Enchileadas (Yummy) and watched the secret Millionaire. Thomas came in for a glass of wine and to watch tv and before we knew it we were burning the midnight oil.
Amazing how the time flies, when you are having fun.
