Countdown to a new President

As the countdown really begins towards a new President of the United States one can all but wish we were that close to an election over here. Perhaps we could get rid of the most unpopular Prime Minister of all time. In the mean time, for once, its stange that the Americans have all of the Pomp and Ceromony, something that we Brits are so famous for, elbeit theirs is in regards to electing a future leader.

Where as in the passed I have always been interested in who is the next American President, I think the World awaits with eager eyes to see who will take over the White House in the comming months.

If you read the polls, most Europeans are on the side of Barrack Obama. For some reason, in my eyes Mcain is far too close a similarity to Bush and the World feels in desperate need for a new leader.

I had to laugh when 71 year old Mcain was asked last week, How many homes do you own?. His answer was four but if you check the records his household count is presently 8. Much of it thanks to his wifes some $50 Million fortune. But I do have to ask you my American friends. Is an old man with a fortune of millions and unable to tell you simply how many homes they own really the sort of man you want as head of the most powerfull country in the World?

I am behind Barrack all the way and would give him my vote. I just wonder, as it comes close to the finish line will there be dispute over the results like there was last time in Florida? Its time for change. Time to move on from the war and build the world for the future. Good luck Barrack. The world needs you.
