After we got home last night and Dusan was a little intoxicated. At one stage I asked him to pass me the wine and in his unmeaning to state he practically threw half the drink at me.
He was in bed early to sleep it off. I had hoped I would be able to get a lie in this morning but he was tossing and turning from around 7:00AM and until we get a new matress if one of us is restless, we both are. We both got up just after 9:00.
We have seen and decided on the new matress, its just one of those things where you have to get around to ordering one and arranging delivery.
Dusan had to be at work at 5:00PM so I waited until he was ready and took the train into town with him. He went to work and I headed to the gym.
I had felt like I should have a really good work out after not going to the gym in a few days but after just over 20 minutes of Cardio I was starting to feel fatigued and wished I had eaten more before I left the flat.
Once I left the gym I wandered around the West End trying to find something healthy to eat before taking the train home and doing some Ironining ready for the week ahead.
After packing my clothes for the week and turning off the bedroom light I recived a text from our handsome neighbour, Steve. He was enjoying a drink over in the residents bar opposite the flat and had seen the light go off. Any invite for a drink is always a good one. So I threw on some clothes and walked the 15 seconds accross the petit park to Bar Red.
It really makes you realise what a find this place was. A gym, Bar, Concierge, residents shop and the friendliest neighbours you could ask for. Seems a real find to both of us. But as much as Dusan and I think how happy we are, sometimes it takes another person to tell you for you to really notice. Steve was this week shocked with the news that his landlord had not been paying the mortgage and despite him paying his rent an eviction notice was being placed. He has, thankfully, found a new pad within the devlopement and actually in our building. As he said, once you find a nice place to live and good friends, why would you ever want to leave. We certainly dont want to see him go. After all, its the happy faces you see and enjoy time with that make home a homely place.
With the midnight hour close at hand I have to be in bed soon. Up again at 530AM for another early drive to the office. Hopefully my last away stay for the foreseeable future. Fingers crossed eh?
